Do you completely remove the old fascia/soffit boards
or do you cover over them with the new products?
The existing fascia and soffit boards will be completely removed.
We never cover over existing boards. Most soffit boards and
timber fascia will have some level of rot normally on the fascia
boards , simply covering over will effectively cover up the
problem but not sort it.
I have timber fascia and soffit boards which are painted
black can you install PVC-U boards in this colour?
Yes. fascia soffit and cladding boards come in a variety of
colours including rosewood, mahogany, , golden oak, black and
white.
What is a fascia?
Fascia is a term which generally describes any horizontal surface
which spans across the top of columns or across the top of a
wall.
In steep-slope roofing, a board that is nailed to the ends of
a roof rafter; sometimes supports a gutter. In low-slope roofing,
the horizontal trim located at the perimeter of a building.
Typically, it is a border for the low-slope roof system. |
